Expert Earthquake Preparedness Tips - CTV BC

Earthquakes aren't a concern where I live, but I've got friends and family in areas where they are. I'm glad to note that they are starting to talk about preparedness, one of them even sent me the link to this article.

Their list of emergency supplies is pretty basic and leaves out a few key things, but I was glad to see them include "and training" with first aid spplies in the Basic Emergency Kit. So many people I know have never taken a first aid course. It boggles my mind.

Basic emergency kit supplies:

Four litres of water per person per day.
Non-perishable food.
First-aid supplies and training.
Pet supplies.
Battery-operated radio.
Flashlights with extra batteries.
Toiletries.
Clothing.
Blankets.
Medicine.
