Here's an actual conversation my friend had with a chatty furniture delivery guy (DG) today. He had a kind of a Dracula accent, placing him somewhere squarely in Eastern europe.

DG: So where you from, my friend?
Friend: Russia
DG: O! Russia! I'm from Bosnia
Friend: Cool
DG: Where you work?
Friend: Davis
DG: O! Davis! You must know Hussein. He works at Davis
Friend: No, not really, it's a big place, you know.
DG: How long here, my friend?
Friend: 10 years
DG: O! Me 5 years. We come after the war. We kill all Serbs and all
Croatians, and we come here.
Friend: I see...
(At this point the comment my friend wanted to make about a scratch on the
furniture quickly lost its importance)
DG: Ok, we done. See you. Do svidanya, my friend!
Friend: Do svidanya...
