Hi guys

It's been a while since I was last active but I have been looking in from time to time.

I've just started a new job about an hour's commute from home, so I thought I'd take a look through the old GHB threads for some kit ideas.

But I've had some trouble using the forum search feature. I've tried to keep the search a broad as possible using the terms GHB & get home bag and I keep getting the No results found message.

Is my Search Fu weak or is there something up with the site?

One way around it is to use other search engines and narrow the search to this forum. In google, you do this by adding the phrase site:forums.equipped.org to your search.

Example: Search for anything written about the search function at this forum.

I don't recall hearing the term "get home bag" in this forum, but I may be forgetful. Try changing your search to look for items you think might be unique to such a bag.

I used to take a train from home to work every day. Not having a car - and relying on public transportation - left me feeling kind of vulnerable. My own method for gearing up was founded upon coming up with a list of potential barriers to getting home and then doing my best to address each one in a minimal carry sort of way.

When I search for "commuter kit" I find a lot of posts.

Use GHB as the search term.

The search function requires at least four letters in the search term. Also check the date range of your search, I think the default is just the last week. You'll need to greatly expand the range of dates you are searching if you hope to find something.
