Okay, just tossing this deal out there. I'll say upfront that I don't have much hands on experience with Brinkman lights. I understand that they're kind of a Wal-Mart type item. Maybe someone more familiar with the brand can chime in about them, but at first blush a package of four x 30 lumen lights with batteries is a pretty good deal.

Thanks Phaedrus, just ordered some for my scouts. There is always a kid in need of something, so extra is always good to have.

Ive had very poor luck with cheap chinese lights, tho mine were multi LED of a few different flavors. Dont get em if you need a light to rely on IMO

My 30 dollar or so maglights, very high quality/reliability.

For the price it is little risk. I carry very good ones, and have redundancy for high quality lights. There is always someone who shows up missing something and I usually have spares. If they get a scout through a weekend camp out, that is good enough.

I agree, they have a use,but dont trust in em.I have em around too,but rely on one, thats the risk IMO,dont do that.

I also dont think you need 3 figure lights either,i do have ONE,and it has a very high survival priority uber reliability single use function, but Ive found the 30-40 dollar light has met my reliability/survival needs well.

When work situation stabilizes (if ever, sheesh!) I want a reliable light in each vehicle and purse/bag. Wife carries 2 cheapies in her purse and has actually used em in a total building blackout, thank goodness they worked.

Having good, reliable spares can be amazingly helpful.

When my oldest was about seven, she was very much afraid of the dark. I rousted her out of bed suddenly and rushed her to the downstairs bathroom due to a nearby tornado. Just as we got there the lights went out. That room is darker than ten feet up an elephant's you-know-what when the lights are out. She freaked.

Because I had a spare light to put in her hand, I was able to use another one to collect one of her wayward little sisters and the dog and get my family all into the room, without her screaming fit to wake the dead or clinging to my leg the whole time.

Must get some keychain lights. Sorta like a pistol to get your rifle.
