What is the best matchsafe?

I have been using plastic safes but wonder, is there is a better one out of metal?

Thanks.

Thank you; just what I was looking for and half-remembered.

I have the K&M one-it survived me dumping numerous times in a river on a kayak trip this past summer, no issues at all. I think it is arguably one of my better choices for my kit.

Get yourself a metal one for three reasons.

wont crack in the cold.

longer life.

most of us keep our money in
a metal safe at the bank why
not put your life savers in a
metal safe.

and much more.

It's not really walking is it?
not those first few daysI meanI certainly
wasnt walking I was lurching from tree to tree.

K&M is a superb product, but the plastic ones are a bit roomier, and plenty tough. I use one to hold a USB drive.

I use a couple of K&M match safes, they are excellent. I don't use the internal striking face though, i prefer to remove the match and then close the safe to protect the other matches from moister and use the outer surface.

I also have and use a couple of the US army match safes although they are plastic they do the job well and are robust enough.
