our local k-mart store is having its annual clearance, including a fair bit of camping supplies. i picked up three of those indestructible blue-enameled camp mugs for 0.27 a piece, and a few two-packs of glow-sticks for 0.50 each.

I didn't even know Kmart still exists. All we have around here is Walmart.

By the way, I was at Walmart today and got 6-pack of Bic lighters for 4 bucks.

K-Mart bought Sears a few years ago (who saw that coming???) They seem to be doing on around here.

The local equivalent has a sale on some sort of "travel bag": LED torch, sewing kit, manicure kit and a can of deodorant for 20$. Woooooow.

Still, what is this - preparedness week?

That is a strange combo of stuff. I guess so you can see in the dark while you sew a button on, trim your fingernails, and smell good while you are doing it...

I just love to smell good while sitting in the dark, getting my nails done

The local K-Mart has 2 isles of Craftsmen Tools, But I do not buy Craftsmen Tools any more. A few years ago I took a 3/8 ratchet back because the ratchet mechanism quit working, they gave me a rebuilt one that had pits and someone’s initials engraved in it. They would not give me a new tool like was done in the past. They want to cut corners this way they loose me as a customer.

Yup...

Hmmm...the one and only time I returned a Craftsman ratchet, I got a brand new one off the shelf but that was at a Sears store, can't recall the last time I was in a KMart.
