Does anyone have experience with either the Streamlight Litebox or Streamlight Firebox Vulcan, I am looking for a rechargeable spotlight that I can mount in my truck, and I don't trust those 10/15/20 million candlepower spots as I think the ratings are a little inflated.

We have used Streamlight rechargeables on our apparatus for years with excellent service from them. The average life of the Ni-Cad batteries is approximately 18 months to two years depending on the duty cycle, use and recharge. One tip that I will offer is to connect the power cord so as to only charge when the vehicle is running or a dead vehicle battery may be the result. Overall, I think you will be well pleased with the service and durability. YMMV.

Both the litebox and the Vulcan are excellent! My VFD uses both and I do prefer the Vulcan, it feels about half as light and is just as bright. Smaller size too! Stop by your local FD and see if they will let you handle one.
