Newbie here. I'm looking for a multi tool that also has a horizontal carry (preferably leather) sheath. I currently have a Gerber with a nylon sheath, and recently I was looking at the Leatherman Core as an alternative. I think there are times it would be advantageous to carry these tools on the belt horizontally. Any suggestions? Thanks

There ought to be a great aftermarket selection, albeit custom. I've not seen horizontal carry for a multitool yet, but it seems it would work. I had considered making such a beast a time or two, but haven't found the need to be assertive enough as yet.

My leatherman wave came with a nylon sheath that has two loops, top and bottom of the back, that are oriented for a horizontal carry.

As jmarkantes noted, his wave came with a nylon sheath that could be used horizontally, and I can say that the sheath that I bought for my Charge Ti could be used vertically or horizontally. It's probably the same sheath, if I had a guess, so other Leatherman products might use it as well. That is a guess on my part though, so you should check to be sure.

Hi
you mention after market sheaths. Are there some places you can recommend?
Thanks
