I would like to think so, except I have not been for quite some time.

I have been forbidden to post you see. Not by our kind and benevolent moderators, but by my very own computer.

For reasons I won't get into because they're bloody technical, my machine wasn't sending certain info that some websites, such as Equipped, require from their members before they are allowed to post messages.

I have been on the Web for a number of years. I work on the Web and with computers and databases. I manipulate data and strings thereof for a living (also known as data munging). I build databases and websites.

I'm a computer and web enthusiast, and yet there I was -- beached. High and dry. It took some nitty gritty detective work, but I solved the problem.

I got myself into trouble, and I got myself out of it, too.

I'm interested in what the problem was! I too am a computer jockey for a living. I believe there are several of us. You can't leave us hanging like that! <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Had the same problem when I first signed up here. I could only post while at scool. What is wrong with us? The subject of this thread is "ignore this test" but we still veiwed and REPLYED!!! <img src="/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

If you REALLY want to know, send me a PM and I'll fill you in on the gory details. Don't wanna bore the folks here too much.

As far as my saying Ignore This, I was just trying to save people the trouble of reading this post/thread.

I'll post a more detailed message later. It was a ZoneAlarm oddity.

If you get an error message when you try something, copy & paste or type into Notepad the EXACT text of the error message, word for word. Then Google it. When I googled my error message, I was directed toward a ZoneAlarm support forum. The forum said to delete a certain file. I did a search, found the file, removed it, and all was well with the world.

I then officially registered at the forum.

Ah... I see. I'm running a version of it myself, but haven't had any issues.
