I just wanted to thank everybody who responded to my previous two posts (Gun Choices? & Non-lethal ammunition?) and to apologize to anyone who was put off or offended by my statements, the subject or direction the thread went. It was not my intention to open a can of worms. I am very new to this and have learned a lot in the past 24 hours. The questions about non-lethal ammunition were as much about four legged predators as they were about home defense. I’ve heard that many travelers to the North Country use non-lethal “bear rounds”. My trip north is not for hunting and I imagined I would have “bear rounds” loaded in the event of a problem. I was wondering if these offered a viable option for home defense.
