Well,

I do not know how it looks like from the other parts of the world but we are being slowly driven into war. Troops and armoured vehicles are being moved to the Iraqi border from reserves deep in the country and from western regions. Civil Defence works began and refugee camps are being built.

All leaves for soldiers and security forces are suspended for an unknown length of time and trainings continue.

I hope nobody dies! Whatever nation, where ever it is! War is no good for anyone.

We had some sort of war in southeast of Turkey for more than 10 years. Southern Turkey or Northern Iraq (same place it is) is a hell of a place to be in when you talk about war. Some friends I had military training with, I have never heard of them again. Some friends who had been there are never the same people again. War doesn't make boys, men; it cripples or kills them.

I am not anti-militarist, I come from a soldier's family and I am not a dreamer. This war will happen, I am just sorry about it. When I was 1 month old we had war in Cyprus, now my son is 1 month old, nothing changes.

War cannot be seperated from human being but always remember: Dulce bellum inexperienti (Erasmus - The war is sweet for the inexperienced)

Thanks for reading, I hope nobody never hears bad news from loved ones.

Somebody once said " there never was a good war ,or a bad peace."There is also an old Irish proverb " fight dragons to long and you turn into one." <img src="images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I've never been to war, but I thank God for every soldier who came before me fighting for the cause of freedom. I hope freedom will be the end result for Iraq, and that future generations there will look back and be thankful that they no longer live under the iron hand of a dictator. For anything less the loss of even one life would be too much. Regards, Tom
