Yesterday, I found a "Combat Survival Kit" made by Gelert (www.gelert.com) sold locally in a store.

When looking to the Personal Size Survival Kit Reviews on ETS, it seems almost identical to the B.C.B. Survival "Combat Survival Kit" <img src="images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

The differences I found at first glance are:

1. The "Folding Pen Knife, 2 1/8 in. plain edge spear point blade, lanyard loop" is replaced in the Gelert kit by a small locking knife. It seems to me after an internet search, that it is an "Imperial Apex AP1 - Mini Lockback (http://www.schradeknives.com =>site map =>Imperial knives>Apex =>AP1 - Mini Lockback). Since it locks, it seems better.

2. B.C.B. Commando Wire Saw (w/out finger rings) => In Gelert kit: Same saw but with the finger rings

3. There is a survival instruction sheet, that seems to different from the one on the ets-site, but it is a BCB instruction-sheet on some shiny paper (? waterproof?).

4. In addition to the survival-instruction sheet, there's a sheet of (normal) paper where you can fill in?/out? your personal data.

I found it for EUR 19.24 in Belgium (Europe). This information could be interesting to people who are searching the BCB-kit, but who can't find it.

If Doug is interested I could take & mail some photographs of this kit an its contents.
