Living in SoCal, I am attuned to the possibility of the "Big One," the next big catastrophic earthquake in the region. often concern is raised that this event is overdue, based on the historical record. My EQ interest is heightened by viewing a County hazard map which shows a fault line running diagonally across our lot. I have looked at the map carefully and I am pretty sure the fault is at least five feet north of our bed. Not to worry....
