I have noticed several people include twist ties in kits. I ran across something interesting that has me putting some in my PSK.

I found H.S. Archery Accessories - Mag Limb Lights (clearance sale at Walmart). Made by Hunter's Specialties.

These are 4.5 inch by .25 inch twist ties. They look about like what you use to tie trash bags, a wire in the center covered by flat strips of plastic.

The difference is that the plastic is a reflective tape. The idea is to twist these around limbs to mark trails to find or leave a blind in the dark. They come in red and white. (They are called "Limb Lights", but they are just reflectors.)

Did a quick night-time field test (make that yard test). Hung a couple in a tree that was partially obscured by brush. Backed off over 50 yards with a regular 2-D cell flashlight. They were very easy to spot. Hung one on the mail box on dark street. They really shine in car headlights.

They are plastic covered wire. An hour soak in a glass of water had no effect.

Oh, by the way, they work just fine as twist ties, too.

Bad news is they are $4 for 36, unless you can find on clearance sale.
