We're not the only ones who find creative ways to use those 'Curiously Strong' tins.

My favorite: The 'Martini on the Go Kit'.

I kind of like the DIY multi-wick candles in the Altoids tin idea. I can see some real usefulness for it in one or more kits.

Maybe melt some $$ store tea candles into the tins. Their wax seem to burn slower and longer than the average "decorator" candle wax.

Yet another project I don't have time for, but want to try out.

LOVE the s'mores kit!

i've got a fire kit in one (mini bic, fire steel, quick tinder and birch bark, if memory serves.)

my son made a little psk out of one. i'll have to find out what he put in it. he started with a whistle, micro photon knock-off, banaids and bandana. not sure what treasures he added but when last i saw it, it was wrapped in duct tape.

Though it is not survival-related, I love the electronics kit. I wish I was bright enough to use one.

The urban EDC was pretty good.

thanks qjs! the truth is that he just loves this stuff. he can't wait to be a scout. he really looks up to them, and our leaders. the challenge we have is getting him a)not to pack too much stuff, and b)remember where he left his pack. he's always using it But has adhd so when he puts it down he forgets about it, making less weight even more important. too heavy and he's more likely to take it off.
