I've had this for quite a while and finally got around to taking pictures of it. Pretty nice set-up, stove, stand and simmer ring cost me less than $20.

It will burn at full blast of almost 25 minutes which is plenty of time to boil water or make coffee.

I got a similar Trangia-based set up from Clickstand after studying the reviews, and reading threads on this forum. Cost twice as much though. I like that you can store fuel in the burner so for short trips you don't need a separate fuel container. It has a home in my BOB.

Wow, I hope your wife was more understanding about you lighting your washing machine on fire than mine was!

Anyone know of a source for just a simmer ring/extinguisher for those of us who already have the stoves?

You can buy them at the MEC in Canada so I'm sure places like REI would have them.

I dodged that bullet by doing it while she wasn't home!

I do this almost every day for one project or another. But I’m not married any more so no wife problems. Right now there is a halogen desktop light sitting on it that I’m converting to LED to run on 4 AA Batteries or a wall charger or a 4-d Battery pack.

But even when married I don’t think my wife would have said anything. She was never bothered by stuff like that.
