Water filtration for about a $3.00 manufacturing cost. The Post article says it is not effective against Giardia though <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
Still, it might turn out to be a good device to have for emergencies.

Some of those water-purification straws (called filtrex-pen) that are made by Careplus have been recalled because of some problems with the pens. They aren't 100% effective

I've posted this question before without response. I think this thread's readers might just provide an answer. The mini filter I'm packing is the Survival Straw, which purports to be an EPA approved water purifier. I purchased it from Brigade Quartermasters. Its been in their catalog for years. Does anyone have any experience with this product?
