before i comment on your kit, first of all, for what situation is this kit made for? Tell use something about the background of this kit. In what terain are you planning to carry this? How much experians you do got in survival things?

first spotted thingy, pretty universal to all kits:
- No waterpurification tablets (www.countrystore.nl has them in holland)

I would stick in 1 or 2 more sewing needles. They are so small and the chace of lossing the one if high.

Great start! IMO I would add water purification tabs (I prefer Katadyn MP-1 tabs).

The kit is made for the dutch landscapes: Nothing special and sometimes forrests.

I started with a standard SAS survival tin and then added, removed and adapted it untill I liked it.
I also looked in the SAS survival handbook (dutch translation)

My experience with survival isn't much (see my introduction), but I believe proper preparation and common sence can get you a long way indeed !

If the kit is ment for dutch terrain only, than it's serious over kill. Although the general concensus in a survival situation is to wait for help, this is less importent in holland because of a simple reason; what wilderness? The goverment even calls it garderning on a larger scale. There are pretty much roads and sign everywhere, so your very like to find one of them and than it is unlikely to get lost again if you follow them.

I'm not saying being equipped is bad! But being realistic helps.
Just mine opinion anyways.

> -3ft. signalling tape

How useful is that? 3ft doesn't sound like a lot - do you expect it to be visible from the air?

nope, It's primary use is to prevent the ratteling of the contents of the tin. If I use it, it could be used as lashing material. Actually, I think I should have called it Trail-Tape....
