Hi all...I've been a big fan of this website for a while...first post though...
I've started using a GREAT product for packaging PSK/FAK module packs ---- the new GLAD Press n' Seal wrap (with "Griptex") is incredible...I love it !!! Simply place your object(s) on a piece of Press n' Seal then cover with another sheet...presto! Its sealed and relatively water resistant...I just trim the excess and throw it in my kit. It keeps objects from moving around and making noise like small ziploc type bags. Give it a try !! Thanks and have a safe day !!

Welcome to the forum, hope you will spend some more time here.
I have seen the adds for the new press and seal but i haven't tried it yet, thanks for the review. One question though, is it posible to reseal it or do you toss it after one use?
The Press N' Seal can be resealed but it is more likely to be ripped open and tossed...I did some testing (although not scientific in the least) this evening with it...I sealed a book of paper matches and ran it under the faucet then submerged it on the bottom of a bucket of water for about a half an hour...upon opening the book of matches were as dry as dust !!! The wrap is heavier than regular kitchen plastic wrap and does not cling to itself as much, which makes it very easy to work with...I have put together several "micro" kits or modules with it and it is working out great....it keeps the contents tight (almost like a vacuum pack without the vacuum). Hey for $2.50 for a 25 yard roll its worth trying.

I can see another potential advantage to this as well, over the more common methods of waterproofing – if it’s sealed as a unit, i.e. fire, first aid, etc., you are much less likely to plunder the contents of your PSK except when you really need them.
My thoughts exactly...my PSK is currently made up of individual "micro" kits each individually sealed which makes it easy to mix and match different kits for different environments.
