Could anyone tell me the correct way to fasten fishing hooks onto Stainless steel fishing line.The line is 7 strand stainless with a breaking force of 33lbs(15Kg).<br>

Normally "Stranded" fishing wire must be looped through a sleeve and crimped. Solid fishing wire can be twisted to close the loop.

aside from the sheer tedium of doing it I would think that a noose knot would hold quite well on a braided line. I would think that simpler knots might work loose due to the slipperyness of the line and it's flexibility.

Mr. Rogers,<br><br>Yeah, you need sleeves. I use Berkley "Big Game" sleeves. I haven't had a problem with them yet. I've also found that you can use them as "locks" for snares by carefully crimping them. Place a sleeve on the wire and then run the wire back through, making a loop. Using needlenose, crimp down hard on the half of the sleeve that contains the end of the wire. Then crimp down on the other side until the wire loop will pull through, but won't open on it's own.
