Well now that's just terrible While on the river every life vest should have a whistle! Heck, they require that when on a PWC... the key or the vest must have a whistle.

I thought this was an interesting statement: "She's always out doing something that she probably shouldn't have been doing."

Not that a trip down the river should be something to stop a person, but the river was up. In any case, if she's doing things that are risky she and her family should make sure she is a little more prepared for something to go wrong.

I'm glad she's alive though.

I don't understand how you become dehydrated while stranded on a river?

People refuse to drink the water cuz it's "bad." Screw that. Most diarrhea is self limiting. Just poop in the side going away from you.

The article referred to it as a 'log jam', but other articles indicated that is was just a large amount of brush. Probably enough to keep her from escaping, too small to climb on.
