Recieved a couple of things from County-Comm last week, so I figured I'd make a post on my new (urban) EDC.

In my pockets:

- Hankerchiff
- cheap EMS watch
- wallet

Keychain (mechanics keychain from c.c.)

- Carabiner
- Fenix EO1
- AMBU Life-key
- Sharpie marker
- Leatherman Squirt P4
- Keys
- Uncle bill's silver gripper

EDC bag: Countycomm EOD

On the outside I have a black SOLED, some pens and a large PCC-pouch with my cell-phone in it.

Also, I walk/cycle around a lot, so I attached a green SpotLit to the back of my bag.

Inside of the bag is devided into 1 large mesh pouch with flap and 2 smaller pouched on the other side In the middle I usually keep a nalgene-bottle and my lunchbox:

- Benchmade Griptillian
- Another AMBU-lifekey (they can clog up fast, plus they mark the pouch of my FAK.

I've used some velcro to atach my multitool-pouch inside the bag:

- Leatherman Wave
- LMF Fire-Steel (next to the multitool, not pictured)
- 4 tinder-quick in small ziplock, taped to the bottom of the multitool pouch (the wite tape in pic)

Opposite side in large mesh pocket:

- 2 S-biners for lanyarding stuff.
- Fenix L1D-CE
- roll of Durapore tape
- lighter
- deo
- chap-stick

Contents of the 2 medium-sized pockets:

- Nitril gloves
- Hand-sanitizer
- AMK Pocket-Medic

In condor pocket organiser:

- rite-in-the-rain notebook
- more pens

- spare hankie
- duct-tape card
- fresnel lens
- some cord
- earplugs
- pencil
- nalgene marker
- hemostat
- scissors
- Micro widgy-bar
- zipties
- pocket-screwdriver
- spare batteries (AA and AAA)
- Lock-picks (hobby of mine)

That's my EDC, watcha think?

Very nice and organized. I like it!

A couple of questions:

-- Why the hemostat? I have one in my larger med kit, but not for my EDC, and am curious.

-- How much does the bag weigh when full?

-- What do the nifty old keys go to?

EDIT: Ah, I just realized that you were in Europe, where some keys look different from those in N. America.

Thanks, the hemostat is very small and slim. It's perfect for picking up small screws or other items. The bag is very light, 2-3 pounds tops. The 'old' keys are for my house and garage lol.

Nice kit, JIM. I would have expected a bigger first aid section from you. Have you decided to cut back on that area?

Arney,

Yeah, kinda cut down on the first-aid stuff. I used to EDC an Emergency Trauma Dressing (israeli-dressing) but I never used it so I took it out.

I could always improvise with a towel, shirt or something like that. And I've got a large trauma-bag in the car and several FAK's in and around the house.

But here's the contents of the pocket-medic:

- 2 Burn-aid
- knuckle bandages
- Quick-dressing (6x8cm)
- Suture-strips (3-pack)
- Mole-skin
- Tweezers
- 2 large bandages
- 2 Gauze-pads
- fingertip bandages
- regulair bandages
- after-bite wipe
- sterile lancet (for blisters)
- Antacids
- Ibuprofen
- Immodium
- Acetaminophen

I'm with you on the hemostats Jim.

I EDC a pair with me as well. Even put bright yellow mason's line as a lanyard on it and (also helps me find it when I drop the thing in the leaves) and a little blaze orange duct tape as well for visibility.

I use them almost as much as my pocket knife (poking holes in safety seals to get to my Excedrin , pulling my shoe laces underneath each other so I don't walk on the ends (tried stuffing them in my sneakers and they are just too uncomfortable and keep falling out, fishing little things out of nooks and crannies, picking the lint out of my belly button, etc....

Also used the lanyard and hemostat combo as a little improv'd grappling hook to rescue my daughter's arrow from some blackberry bushes once.

Also, they would make a handy roach clip if I was so inclined.....Not planning on it but at least I'm prepared....

Nice EDC, Jim. It seems to be well thought-out.
One thing caught my eye - the Condor pocket organizer. I like it. I need something like this for my backpack.

Thanks, Izzy. I had not known about Condor brand until I read about it on your website not long time ago. They have some interesting stuff.

Nice kit Jim, well organized. I really need to do something similar, I have all the stuff, I just need the time and motivation to do it.

I think you and I carry the same wallet. I find it far too large and not easy to get in/out of my rear pocket. But I like it because it has an exterior pouch big enough to carry business cards which I hand out daily.

I need to update my EDC.

Mike

Nice post, thanks for the photos. I'll be pulling my kit out tonight when I get home to go over it again now!
