My 'ideal dress watch' is a Seiko SCVS013 or SARD031. But I'm not going to spend more than my weekly income to buy one.

Anyone else have a similar watch at a...less than $100 level?

I also will be looking for a watch more or less in harmony with this forum. But I see many subjects on those and will reviews those.

As I stated in another thread, I usually stick with Timex watches. Not sure what their dressy brand looks like, as I usually just opt for the expedition line.

Thats a tough one, the price for the Seiko SCVS013 is around $350 so a watch for around $100 is quite a challenge but here goes;

http://www.amazon.com/Citizen-Eco-Drive-...807&sr=1-18

The Eco-Drive watches don't need any battery replacement and have a 5-yr manufacturer warranty and will probably keep better time than the mechanical Seiko (the Seiko SCVS013 looks like a really nice watch BTW)

Just joined ETS...but my main everyday watch is an Invicta 9307A. Saw it on ShopNBC ( that or HSN) at two in the morning, as I keep weird hours, and had to have one. It was $108.
Also have a 32 Degrees TT911-477 in bright yellow. My Invicta has been mistaken for a Rolex at least twice, and I get more compliments on my 32Degrees watch, which was $100, than on any other watch I own. My "survival" watch is a Timex expedition with a digital compass. Hope this helps.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WCMJPA/ref=cm_pdp_rev_itm_img_1 is my favorite watch. I've worn it daily for well over a year and it's tough as nails and "kitchen sink" functional. I have worn it to business meetings, even a funeral. However, I have a drawer with several other watches including a couple of Seiko's.

If' you're looking for something stylish that won't break the bank, go look at something along the line of Fossil or Kenneth Cole, etc. Citizen and Seiko are often pricey, but they do usually have some watches in the $100 range. I just don't think they look that great in comparison to the $200-300 ones.

If you can afford a compromise, something like http://www.amazon.com/Seiko-Alarm-Chrono...BAGSMG02X1RGGN0
or
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VXD...1&s=watches look slick to me.

It boils down to personal choice and budget and what it's primary purpose is. If you are wearing a suit every day, maybe the Casio Pathfinder isn't for you, but packs a boatload of functions. I think, actually that some of the cheaper brand names mentioned look better at the $100 range (the top of their scale) than what amounts to the bottom of the barrel for Seiko and Citizen for their ~$100 offerings.

If you go with Invicta, the 4244 and 2875 are nice dressy models... which seem to fit your budget criteria. I'm not sure, but it seems from your optimal selections you want black leather band and plain white faces. Not sure how married you are to leather, so this one could be a nice option: http://www.worldofwatches.com/detail.asp?bo_products_variance_id=69182

For price, quality and fitting your choices most closely, maybe the http://www.worldofwatches.com/detail.asp?bo_products_variance_id=70507 is good?
