If Bear comes near you do not let him convince you to let him pee on your shirt.
He will be pretty safe in Florida; nothing dangerous for him to climb or run down.
I wonder if he will eat an aligator raw. grin

I like Bear. I'd kindly like to hang with him, if nothing more than to take him aside and say, "Look. You're kiddin' us with this show, right?" As I've said before, Bear's show is just short of hilarious. Each time I see a new episode, I become more convinced the show is a sitcom.

He best be able to tell the difference between an alligator and a crocagator, or else we will see who eats who.

Bear was relatively reserved this time around. The only insane thing I can remember him doing off the top of my head was jumping into a quicksand/sinkhole (I can't remember the exact terminology) to show how to get out of it.

He even boiled his water...

It's coming on again right now. If I make it through the show I'll post any major silliness I come across.

In the same vein, if he offers you a brown clump of something to squeeze into your mouth for "water," kindly decline. Although last I checked, there were no elephants in Florida.

Although the last time I was in Florida, I did get to handle an alligator.

I haven't folow the show for many reasons but mainly because I was affraid it would be just stupid. Lately having been home injured I managed to catch 10 minutes segments of different episodes. I have no problem with the guy but I do belive that he is unneccesary risk taker and althou many of the stuff he shows is good his training gets him covered where regular joe would perish. If you take his show with the grain of salt there is always something you can learn for yourself. But imagine this: people on this site are prepared, we EDC a lot of items (or just basics) but in the end our pockets hold more than just a knife. What could you have done with all that equipment?

I find Bear a little nutty, but entertaining. One things for sure, he has no taste buds...lol. How can he eat some of that stuff??

The little I have seen of his show was so stupid it was almost funny, so you may be right...

Bear Grylls, international mystery man of adventure survival. I think I once saw him once eat a raw zebra.

Grylls has a pretty impressive Curriculum Vitae having served in the UK special forces SAS for 3 years. I really don't know about that though. SAS soldiers tend to be small wiry men with ginger hair and mustaches and look as though the Prozac hasn't kicked in properly.

Oh well if he's in the everglades and has with him a large elastic band with him, the alligators had better watch out. Do you think we'll see a scene like the barbeque scene from the movie 'The Water Boy'?
