Not bad, but they're very high in salt. I usually go with Uncle Ben's wild rice. No salt, fat or cholesterol and acceptable taste, especially if it's for a BOB. I sometimes mix it with roasted red pepper and tomato soup that's in the organic section packaged in aseptic (is that the correct term?) boxes. Or with Bumble Bee tuna steaks in a foil packet. The lemon and cracked pepper is tolerable. The mosquette and ginger soy taste better but have a ton of salt. I'd hate to have to survive on them alone, but they make a good change of pace meal. I keep a few handy in my drawer at work for when I need a lunch at my desk. Most packaged meals, such as soups, have two days worth of salt in them. I'm not sure, but I think besides the health aspects, that much salt may not be advantageous in a survival situation unless you're sweating out a ton... even then I'd have my concerns about contributing to dehydration. I'd be interested if there are any knowledgable comments on that topic.
