Herrington sells stuff for yuppies and people with extra cash to spare. I like their catalogs because they have a lot of pictures (kid in me) and show some kewl stuff and gagets that I might have overlooked. So in their new catalog they have home and car survival kits:

Herrington Survival kit

I think somebody put some thinking into making of these kits and even if not everything is included and some of the components maybe be of avaerage quality I think it makes for a nice package.

Survival Kit includes 63 items, including: • AM/FM/Weather/SW Radio w/Batteries • 2 Days Food Ration x2, Plus Energy Bars • 4.2 oz. Purified Water Pouches x10 • Candle w/Matches (36. hr burn time) • Xenar Strobe Rescue Light • Flashlight w/Batteries • Survival Blankets • First Aid Kit, and more.

Road Emergency includes 46 items, including: • 12V 250psi Tire Inflator • 8-in-1 Flashlight w/Batteries • Magnetic Safety Strobe • First Aid Kit • Emergency Charge-N-Start • Rain Poncho • Whistle, and more.

Tooo bad that half people who get it won't have any idea what to do with it.

Matt

And from the photos, it appears they have the new soft-sided pouch Swiss Army Knife, too!!! <img src="images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Very cool. Would make one hell of a great conversation piece, too, if displayed in one's living room to show off the contents.

Of course, that's if you can get it. Check their inventory link and it says they're out of both kits and don't expect them for at least 7 to 10 days.

Steve.
