I was thinking of asking the wife for a wave this Christmas. I carry a PST II daily and I love it. I would like to have some of the additional tools that are on the wave(saw, dual blades). The question is how well does it carry in a front pocket? This is where I would carry it most of the time. I'm not much on wearing belts.

I love the Wave, But for me it's a little to heavy for front pocket carry. I bought a S2 juice and attached a Photon II to it for watch pocket carry. I love that too.

Ron,

Eh, I'm not overly fond of the Wave in my pocket... I reckon that's a personal preference thing. The Wave is about 3 oz heavier (8 vs 5) and IIRC a little bit thicker than the PST II. I guess if you're comfortable with the PST II, the Wave would mostly just seem a bit heavier...

I rarely use the serrated blade (It's great for slicing bread LoL). OTOH, I use the saw regularly, and I really like a) the locking blades and b) the fact that they're on the outside of the tool. So far, my favorite multi tool by a long shot, like a zillion other satisfied customers <grin>.

If locking blades are not critical to you, seems like the larger 3 Juices might fit better for pocket carry and still give you the saw, at least.

Regards,

Tom

One,

IMO, the Wave is too heavy for pocket carry. It is however, worth wearing a belt for. You get used to it, or at least, I did.

Andy

The wave is definitely a belt carry item. A superb tool and worth wearing a belt for.
