Jim Cirillo, NYPD, writer and instructor was killed when a truck tboned his car last night. Jim was a friendly and fascinating man who brought actual gunfight experience to his subject.

Too bad. He really knew how to handle himself in a gunfight. Didn't need some fancy 19 round semi-auto with all the bells and whistles either, plain old six shooter worked just fine...

I've never heard it called the "...cirillo rotation...," but I suspect that is the guy. If memory serves me correctly, his greatest claim to fame came from taking on four armed badguys with a sixshooter and winning. He shot one after the other, one shot at a time, then went back to catch up on any still standing. You can't doubletap four guys with a sixgun. He then went on to be involved over the years in something like seventeen (YES, that is 17) shootings, winning all...

I was an LEO when I learned of him,and he was and still is a legend in Law Enforcement.Just saw him on the Outdoor channel and his lecture was on the 5 shot revolver and its feeding [ ammo selection ] and he had a brand of ammo that he developed.He will be missed by all in the real world.
