Hmm. I suspect it is complete nonsense. You only have to look at the bit where he suggests moving 50 cases of food to allow the plumber to fix a leaky pipe. That gives it away! A true survivalist would repair it himself with duct tape from his PSK. Err, I mean...

^ Bet it's Kraft! Anything from Kraft practically lives forever. They only put expiry dates because they have to... I'm not a survivalist, but an awful lot of those points do kinda fit. It might have been more accurate if he had said "you might just be actively aware and prepared if..." but then it wouldn't be funny. If more people were prepared, the rest of us wouldn't have to be so much...

*triggers the decoy charges before opening the concealed and armoured hatch of my escape tunnel*
Close doesn't count unless you have H-bombs- this baby is too thick to worry about horseshoes or hand grenades!
*slams the hatch and falls back into my emergency bunker*

Some of it is, but by not all. There are actually some very nice cheeses from Europe that you can sometimes get in cans if you know the right kind of deli, and it is a very popular option in Australia and New Zealand along with canned butter (butter, not ghee).

Washington State University has been making and selling cheese in a can for years. Highly sought after and fetching a premium price on the market, Cougar Gold is a well aged cheddar type cheese (the real thing, not the pasturized processed stuff) that stores excellently if kept in moderately well controlled temperature range, and unopened. Any Cougar alumnist worth his salt will keep a couple tins around for those rare Rose Bowl parties that Wazoo makes it into. It ain't cheap. Here's the link http://www.wsu.edu/creamery/1flavors.html

Hmmmm....3 pounds eh? Quite a bit! and all the wonderful fumes will make for such a pleasent environment. Thank God not too many people know how to produce or properly apply thermite/thermate....I however am among them ....MMMMUUUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Besides, that's a lot of trouble to go through when you can just pile up some poison ivy around the intake, set on fire....and viola! Natures CS smoke! Ooooohhh...I digressed...sorry folks, got carried away! Besides, we all know that someone as competent as Raven would have a high speed cut valve on the intake...LOL!

Whoa, thanks for the warning! I'd hate to bomb booze. Oh, and you are probably worth keeping too. Now Madbomber Mike's idea of using poison ivy smoke, that's something to think about. Lord knows we have enough of that stuff around to experiment with... -Blast

No dice, I'm not allergic to it. :P Yes, I have to fight the urge to point out "good TP plants" to people.

HEYYYYYYY!!!! OK man! Truce! At this point, when the booze is on the line, I'll call it quits, and opt for full cooperation. Having hostages is just the last straw man! LOLOLOLOL!!!
As for the poison ivy smoke...your skin may not be allergic to it...but I'll bet your lungs are! It works on everyone! I used it on a large scale for a smoke screen during an attack during an exercise in Texas. We filled a ditch with about 20 big bundles of it with some other brush on the upwind side. Fired it at about 2am during a tight inversion and let it drift for about a half hour. Everybody thought we'd used CN and DM, the whole support area was on their knees for an hour...needless to say...we won! LOL!

Smoke from poison oak/ivy can cause fatal respitory distress ( Wikipedia ). That means that people can DIE from it. And you use used it against friendlies in a training exercise? Remind me to remove my blank adapter if I ever have to train with you. We will see who LOL's all over the place then...

OK, perhaps I wasn't clear about the conditions. Wide open fields with lot's of fresh air to mix, five bundles about the size of your forearm in fires about 50yards apart.... sooo...far lower concentrations than if we had thrown CS grenades into their camp(CS and CN can do the same thing in even lower concentrations than Poison Ivy smoke) and it's contamination is persistent therefore the effects are far longer lasting. The effects are quite similar to both CS and CN and must be inhaled in sufficient quantity. If I did anything before doing this, I did my research, and as you know, safety protocols are paramount! Thanks for your concern OBG, no muss, no fuss.

I should probably let this one drop, but what the heck. Nothing I have found regarding CS , or CN indicate that it can be fatal. Poison ivy, on the other hand, can be. I have been exposed to both CN and CS (thankfully I got to skip DM), they hurt, but is it a short term hurt. Unlike the blisters in the lungs that poison ivy can cause. I would hope that you (and others) will skip burning poison ivy in the future...
