New stuff from countycomm...

http://www.countycomm.com/CBH.htm

Pretty cool. I mean I can't see using it for BOBs battery keeping but for EDC in my pack it surely is a decent solution.

Them guys at countycomm never stop to amaze me. I can blow 200 bucks for little things and still not have enough of their little pouches and items.

Cute little devils. Kinda pricy tho, if you like to carry a lot of batteries around. I get my AA's from Costco, Kirkland brand, they come in a box with groups of four batteries sealed in hard plastic. My 123's I usually just tape together by twos with scotch tape. Not the best solution I know, but cheap...

I use plastic batery holders, for most of mine battery storage. I use a much cheaper alternative: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3558 and http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3258

Very nice stuff to keep your batteries together. They are aslo avalible in seperatly.

well the one's from countycomm do indeed look pretty squady proof. From the looks of it, it should be way more durable than the one i use. But at 5 bucks a pop, a bit too price for mine budget. Well atleast for what i'm willing to pay for a piece of plastic to keep mine batteries together.

Note about DealExtreme... They are in Hong Kong. Shipping will take close to a month. Keep that in mind.

I have ordered from them before and will likely do so again --- just not for something that I am in a hurry to get.

If they had a belt clip and were a little larger, looks like they
would be a good belt carry for shotgun shells.

Take a look at the Batuca cases as well. They are 1/2 the price of the CountyComms and provide much better dust/grit protection. Still, I have some extra-thick little zip bags that perfectly fit 4 CR123s or 6 AAAs. These are more waterproof than the CountyComm or Batucas, and you won't find anything more space efficient. I'll post a pic later if I can snap some photos.

Those have a molded hinge though. Those break after a few uses, I've been searching for a long time for a battery case that was made with a real hinge.

The model that County Comm carries is the slim line. Bottom right of the page. They even have some that glow in the dark!! Lots of other colors too. Pretty neat!

Good find. Right now I'm using the Batuca case tucked inside an Omniseal bag. But these look really nice.

Yep, very impressive design, but looks more like a fancy/decorative home storage solution to me. The precise dispensing feature is probably crucial during bumpy ride on a personal airplane. But it's definitely not the smallest battery case for EDC, and it's probably heavy. Hopefully its plastic could substitute for a good tinder? smile

I'm using battery boxes similar to those of DealExtreme http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3558 for several years (I don't remember where I've got 6 of them, but it was some local photo store, I believe). The molded hinges are still functional. One of the advantages to me in this model is that it holds securely 4 x AA, or 4 x AAA (in perpendicular direction). Batuca looks very similar, but an AAA will rattle in it.

these only cost 1.00ea and they also have cr123's for 1.00ea and a carrying case that holds 12 123's for 12.00. They also have really cheap shipping.

Good find. They also have a nice compact battery tester: http://www.amondotech.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=524
It's important not to mix batteries with different voltage left. Also nice to have for checking rechargeable batteries health. And I'm just love analog stuff smile

Okay, made a pic. Please excuse the poor quality; did it with my cellphone. I don't remember where I got these bags but they are very thick, more so than a ZipLoc freezer bag. The zip closes well though when packed with 4 DL123s it is snug.

Neat, but that's digital battery tester (Ok, sort of). The idea is to have some meaningful reading from a continuous scale. Otherwise you have only 3 answers: good, Ok, bad. Also it's for 1.5V only.
