How effective would laying out strips of foil into a ground signal be? My thought is to use about 200 square feet layed out in a big X.<br><br>Besides Reynolds, what other brands of foil are there. for the size of 200 ft of tinfoil I'll prefer a navcom radio, or a flre kit, signal mirror and flares.<br><br>Try geting Hd foil nstead, oven liners, etc. <br><br>Uses? You're only limited by imagination.<br><br>Water vessle, repairs, container, hats , it can be folded, compressed and sharpened, used to fill holes, used to make hydrogen gas, hotpan holder, baking, field electrical repair for flashlights to fuses, antennas, windscreen, sunglasses, the list goes on.....

Foil is an expedient bandage. I have used foil twice for sucking chest wounds. As an aside, never leave foil in the wild. Animals will chew and swallow it. The aluminum then irritates the intestinal lining with massive swelling. The animal will die a slow death to starvation or toxic shock.
