got a zippoe BLU , so far I like it

This one is a Promo from marlboro that I bought off ebay

year stamp on bottom reads 05

It is a butane lighter that has a flint so when out of fuel
it still has some use

Does it work like a normal butane lighter (i.e. it goes out when you release the button). Is it designed to burn your thumb if you try to let it burn for more than a few seconds?
