For a long time I used to use my multitool knife, pocket knife, or swiss army knife for cutting food like cheese or sausages, etc. But I realized camping in bear country that isn't the smartest thing to do. And I also hate having grease/oil on my utility blade. So, even though its a little added weight, I've started using a US army mess kit knife for cutting food and a P-38 for opening any cans instead of my multitool can opener. So I recommend using a seperate knife for food cutting. Any cheapo serrated kitchen knife will work.
