As I described here last year, I bought the Survivorman season 1 DVD from the Canadian distributor for $40 plus S&H. Last night I was browsing through the video department at Wal-Mart and saw this DVD for only $16. It was re-labeled with the Discovery Channel logo but is the full season 1 DVD. It's a good deal if you don't already own it.

Thanks Glock A Roo.
I put off buying his DVD due to the high price and shipping. I'm headed to Wally World and see if they have it here.

Let us know if you find one. I'll be looking too.

Thanks!

Two questions, as I hardly ever go to WallyWorld:

1.) Do you mean the Survivorman DVD is in American stores too, as well as Canadian?

2.) What section would it be in - new releases, TV on DVD, or what? Just asking...

Yes, in American stores. I'm on the East coast. It was in the section with TV shows.

Hi Glock-A-Roo,

Being from Scotland, I'm not particularly familiar with the US TV show called Survivorman, I have found a clip called Suvivor, man! showing survival in country called suburbia on Youtube wink

Ok just got back from Wally World and heres the deal they are the full 45min episodes (1 hour-commercials=45mins) they include a bonus dvd with the Surviving Urban Disasters special but for some reason they dont include the Behind the Scenes episode. For 16.46 plus tax this set is a really good deal.

Cyblade, thanks for the info. I didn't examine in detail the episode list since I already had the DVD. But, I think the Wal-Mart one is an even better find because frankly the "behind the scenes" segment was not particularly interesting. I think the "Urban Disasters" segment would be much more worthwhile. In fact, I may just go back to Wally World and get that one since it has the Urban segment.
