The majority of people are fine with it, a lot of people have borrowed mine from time to time, but you get that one person who has a knife/gun/tool fear and they go to HR and you get told your violating company policy having a "weapon" at work. So its best to keep it hidden IMHO and when someone asked if anyone has scissors/screwdriver I just keep quiet.
