I've still got to get 10 more gals of gas, stabilized.
Will still keep adding dry & canned goods to the inventory.
Have to rotate my water supplies.
Add some new ammo to my stocks.
Start purchasing some silver rounds each month.

Re: purchase of silver rounds.

Prices have been dropping the past two weeks. Silver was less than $13 US per ounce late last week. Good news for purchasers!

I had to look up "silver rounds". At first I thought that you were still talking about ammo and were worried about a problem with Lycanthropes or something. shocked grin

Buy 4-5 5 gallon fuel cans and start filling them up.
Add 1-2 gallons of water to inventory each week.
If I get one cabinet job in particular, buy a .45 handgun.
Get a dehydrator to go along with my newfound gardening skills.
Keep upgrading my BOB contents as well as EDC contents.

Hoping to buy a "squeakie" shooter, looking at a Weatherby Vanguard in either .223 or .243. Will probably go with the .223, just for ammo availability. Going to prowl some of the old mountain man rendezvous sites, just to try to get a feel for the way they lived (and partied)...

National Weather Service forecasters said they expect 13 to 17 tropical storms, with seven to 10 of them becoming hurricanes.

The forecast follows that of two other leading storm experts in anticipating a busy season.

Sigh...Regrease and maintain boat trailer, repair one hurricane shutter, 20 more gallons of stabilized gas, spare parts and filters for both generators, wireless thermometers for freezers, repair spare chainsaw, more canned goods, more paper products, more bleach, more batteries...this stuff just never ends

Visited the local REI store for some inspiration. Oh, my! They should refresh most of the price tags. Almost everything is twice the online prices shipped.

Helped my dad patch their roof.
Replaced most of the food in my stash.
Ordered more MALICE clips to replace the zipties on my BOB and ditch kit.

Need to do:
procure Tyvek sheeting for tarps

You can purchase online and have it shipped free to the store where you simply go and pick it up.

July is water supply rotation month around here.

I have also been practicing in-the-dark campfire fire starting skills for the past few nights, including gathering all the materials.

BTW, magnesium starters are difficult to use in the dark. I have read this on the board, but decided to confirm it anyway.

Hopefully by June/July I will be ready to practice the same skills at night in the rain....

I've been super busy lately, were putting out house up for sale so I've been packing and cleaning and painting. Haven't added to any of my food/water stocks at all over the last month since I am trying to lesson the amount that we will need to move.
Took an old 8.5x10 organizer than I used for a job where I had t have customers sign work orders and put all the maps in my truck in it to clean out my center console and printed some maps of local and state parks and added to it.
Bought a small axe and some matches to add to my firestarting category but can't find strike anywhere matches so they have to stay in the boxes.

Of course they could have the same batting average as last year's forecast (dead wrong!). I'm a little skeptical of this type of prediction. 13 - 17 tropical storms and 7 - 10 hurricanes seems to be pretty broad. How does that compare to the statistical data? I saw that they believe this forecast would have a 75% chance. I'l bet most years' actual storm data would fit into that range. If true, then how would this be more valuable than the average Farmer's Almanac?

I saw the perfect place for you a couple of days ago, alongside of an interstate, west of Miles City, MT (where Gus died on Lonesome Dove). 96 acres of grazing/ag land, $240K. What a deal (by CA standards at least)...

Wow, that's def. a deal by CA standards!
I can't even find under 1 acre for that price range unless it's inner city Sacramento which is the opposite of prep!

We are looking at about a 45minute drive in to town to get something in the 300k-400k range with 5-25 acres depending on slope.

Let's put it this way, if you want to live somewhere "nice", the town, the property, the schools & the neighbors you won't get in the door with anything less than 400k. That's living on top of your neighbors, any acreage is gonna cost you extra.

Fairly common on semi attached houses - remember - your right on the property line on one side - the other house is a mirror of your's - the builder takes a 50x100 lot, and builds right on the middle - 1 "big" house - basiclly 2 small houses, with a concrete/cinder block fire wall down the middle

I lived in one foe 10 years - sold it in 2001 - for 395K!

Did you ever get the cargo net? If not you might try the local Forest Service. The nets they use to haul cargo on fires are replaced regulary, Most of the time they are throwen away because nobody wants them. give it a try

Got car kits started for both family vehicles. My wife works in Dallas, got her a solid 3 days worth of stuff--water, Mainstay bars, ponchos, tarp, paracord, etc.--all packed in an unused 5-gallon pail (even slopped a little paint on the outside before cinching it down in the back of her little SUV). Same thing for our big SUV, just more of it.

Go through kits and make sure nothing has leaked or expired.
