Actually, according to my calipers, the SpecPlus version of the MkII is no thicker than the standard Ontario, and only a hair thicker than my Ka-Bars. Sorry, it's been a while since I made the measurements, I don't remember the exact number.

Although, my SP-1 is a very early one. They might have screwed them up more recently.
