Apparently they have a P2D (or something) that runs a single 123 battery, with brightness and run time of the 2AA model. Same price as the A and AA models.... decisions, decisions.

Used a 9V 6 cell Xenon Magnum Star lamp from Mag Lights to put this this mod together. Didn't seem to heat up as much as the lower voltage krypton lamp.

This mod isn't a stand-in for a real tactical light, but it would work for a toolbox or other utility light that would perform when stored in a vehicle or outdoors in winter.
