Does anyone know what is the difference between "H" Bandage and Israeli bandage?
I have never handled either one, but from pictures, they both seem quite similiar in design. They both have a thick gauze dressing, elastic bandage, and some sort of rigid clip or "pressure bar" that allows the user to apply extra force over the wound site by looping the bandage around the clip, reversing direction, and pulling the bandage tight. This also allows a tourniquet effect, too. The only obvious difference, to me at least, between these two products seems to be that the Israeli bandage has a straight clip while the H bandage has an H-shaped clip.
Both companies sell their bandages to the US military already, so both are probably fine products. Actually, I'm not sure if the H bandage is in use yet, but an earlier version is issued to Marines.
