This was from two years ago but I still like to talk about it, when I first moved to the forest of Oregon my male cat used to chase the deers all over the place till one male deer chased him up a tree.....and there was my cat atop the tree growling like hell and the deer at the bottom of the tree looking up and going "eakkkk eakkkkkkk".....he never chase another deer ever again.

I had a carpenter come to my home in order to do some work for me and he had a German Sheaper in the back of the truck, the dog made the mistake of jumping down to the ground and next thing you know there was a yellow cat going after him, the dog jumped back into the bed of the truck and never came down again.....lol

That was the male.....and now the little female (6 lbs)

Twice I was on my comp like I am now and she jumped on my lap with a live snake in her mouth.....little garden snakes.

And twice with a live bird which I took outside and let go.

Once with live bat and once with a dead hummingbird.....just how the hell was she able to cach a bat and a humingbird I'll never know and she wont tell me how she did it.

A feline retriever... I guess you don't need to stock up with as much food as you thought!

She would probably drop dead in order for me to eat her if she had to, that's how much she loves me, she's a little bich with a mind of her own but at night she sleeps in my arm and with her purring she puts me to sleep.

I'll tell you this much they make a hell of a wachcats, because I live in isolation anytime that someone is in the general area they both look in the direction of the object and start making a funny sound...... as a matter of fact I was on the deck this morning drinking my coffee and the both started to look towards the woods and whatever was there took off.

They are spoiled, one day they eat cat food and the next chicken of the sea tuna..... besides their dry food that is there for them at all time and what ever else that I am eating and they can beg away from me.

PS: At Costco Chicken of the Sea tuna is cheaper than canned cat food, I don't want you to think that I am wastefull.

If you love your cats don't feed them tuna. It is not their natural diet and has caused numerous health problems for cats that I have had in the past. A lot of tuna based cat food is really bad for cats. I am not sure if the human consumption tuna is any better.
Ever see a cat catch a tuna?

Your cats sound cool. I love both cats and dogs but when you get to know a cat up close it is real cool. They can be affectionate but also very independant. They are mini versions of the big cats.

We just had our first big warm spell, and in the last 24 hours our cat has brought us:

- Four rodents (two big adult mice, one I don't know what with long rear legs and grey and beige fur (kangaroo rat?), and one juvenile mouse), all DOA
- Three lizards (one a foot long, which was fighting back, and two smaller ones); I got the big one and one of the small ones away and set them free...later he was chasing yet another under the car, but didn't bring that one inside
- A small 6-8" garden snake, also DOA

I kid you not...he's usually busy, but this must be a new record.

(He's also very affectionate; he hangs out with us wherever we go in the house or yard, and loves to jump up in our arms and be carried around when he's not being the big bad hunter.)

I have two cats but they mostly catch little things. I have learned not to wander around with bare feet first thing in the morning, for fear of stepping on half a mouse.

The cats have learned too. They now carefully place their catch inside my shoe. That way I am sure to find it when I put the shoe on, and I'm sure to have bare feet at the time.
