What do ya do when the power is out, firewood is scarce, and Ol' Man Winter is freezin' ya to death? Make a solar heater out of your leftover pop cans. This guy used 50 pop cans, a wood frame, some pvc supports, and a [butt]load of caulk to heat his garage in the winter. Detailed instructions and pictures are available at:

Greetings and welcome to the fire. Good info for your first post but a little light on introductions. I'm guessing you like to make stuff.

Adding some insulating styrofoam and maybe a second pane on the window would really improve the heater's output.

Now, if someone could come up with a cooling unit for Texas...

There are stupid, all that they have to do is to go into the salt mines..... the salt collects the heat from underground and keeps the place nice and warm, the only thing that they cannot do is to use open fire.
