I would suggest that during your training and for a while after you obtain your EMT-B certification that you ride with several different individuals/crews. Many of us that have been at this for a while, develop the "street way" of doing things. Some of these habits are good, some bad, get a good cross section of how things are done in the field, and this can vary from the classroom/book way of accomplishing procedures. Do not attempt to employ the "street way” during your training/testing, go with the formal classroom/book procedures. Once you are in the field, you will develop your own sixth sense of right and wrong. Pete
