Sorry I mentioned the weirdo in my earlier post. It seemed to have generated a fair amount of comments. Here are some happy pictures.

Some of the kids.

OBG,

Let me know. I even have an extra tent you can use so you won't need to pack one.

Our backup tent (read: former tent until I bought a new one a couple of weeks ago) is not the best, but it is serviceable. It is a Coleman and sleeps four. I can also supply the Hefty brand is that is your preference.

Anyone who's been to Kauai has seen one of these:

It's got to be the official bird of the island of Kauai, they are EVERYWHERE... crazy

More great pics, Aloha.

It's wonderful to have a family that does such things together.

It takes me back... I remember times when... Oh wait... I was a latchkey kid before there was even a term for it. grin

Seriously though, it looks great. How often do you and the family get out on trips? It seems like you're always posting about one trip or another. Which isn't to say it's too much by any means. Keep the pics coming!

Mahalo Nicodemus.

We go about once a month. Next one will be in about a week and a half.

Family camping is great fun for the kids (of all ages). It doesn't cost much, we're outside, the kids play without TV, we're outside, sitting around a campfire at night encourages conversation, we're outside, etc...

I think Key Westers, -Loving their Cats, -would Frown on that!

Well they are the Conch Republic, -rather than the Cat Republic! They can be either just as well!
