Does any one have any experience with this product? The Boss website states "Researchers have not found any anaerobic infectious diseases bacteria that Aerobic Oxygen does not kill. It is effective against Salmonella, Cholera, E. Coli, Streptococcus, Pseudamonas and Staphyloccus A. and even effective against Giardia-Lamblia."
I couldn't find anything about it on ETS, therefore Im skeptical as Doug covers every base.
cheers,
Nigel

www.goodforyou.ca/ is the manufacturer (based in Canada) with near worldwide distribution.A 1/2 oz. bottle is $20 U.S. Oxygen is used to stabilize water for long term storage against bacterial growth. It will degrade with exposure to sunlight. I emailed regarding it's effectiveness against cryptosporidium. The only drawback I can see is it's single application. Iodine can be utilized both for water purification and wound care.

email reply to my query " I do not have any testing that shows this Bacteria was used as a test Bacteria. However it is anaerobic and I am sure it will destroy it." Now that fills me with confidence!

It has several applications, just not all survival related.
Except the electrolytic qualities.

Somehow I missed the start of this thread and have just now read the question. I cannot answer the specific question on the validity or the mechanism by which this product claims to work. However, I can say, that nascent or “free” oxygen is one of the most potent viral-, baterial- and parasitic- cidal chemicals available for routine sterilization. The newer technologies of peroxide generating autoclaves have replaced steam, dry heat and ethylene oxide methods of sterilization for many applications. These peroxide autoclaves are fairly expensive. Hydrogen peroxide works in a similar fashion, but in general the concentration of nascent oxygen is minimal and is why it is generally considered a poor wound-cleaning agent. Periacedic acid is a more potent source, but is highly toxic and corrosive. To be honest, I cannot see any product of having moderate or long-term capabilities in generating nascent oxygen. Pete
