Mark, Do you have a Photon2 type LED torch? You may consider a heavy duty awl to augment your sewing kit ( leather and canvas repairs). A small pair of tweezers is nice for splinters and holding small hooks while threading line. A safety razor insert is a nice back up for small cutting chores.

Sounds pretty good.
You might want to consider getting some other form of tinder to keep the kit from rattling. Cotton wool is pretty useless when wet. Sparklite tinder is great for such a situation. Another type would be the coghlan's tinder, although it can get a little messy if you squeeze it too hard. But it burns hotter than the sparklite tinder.....

Just my 2 cents.....

I used a small piece of cardboard and attached it to an electric screwdriver, held the line tight with one hand and pushed the button on the screwdriver withe other-it takes up a lot of space but i feel it is worth it because it can be used as cordage and in fishing! Hope that expplains it!

Mark
