Ticks, maybe. Mosquitoes? I highly doubt it!!
I went on a trip up to the Sierra Nevadas about a decade ago (the Rae Lakes Loops). The mosquitoes there were biting through long sleeve flannel shirts. Apparently deet wasn't a big deterrent either.
