I guess I should ask, what's your question? Or were you just surprised?

Women have been wearing ties and blazers as part of professional garb for at least half a century. And they are part of girls' and young women's school uniforms where ever western styles of dress have become the norm for decades- think the prototypical school girl's uniform, the ascot is dead, the tie is in. *shrugs* It isn't a big deal.

Would you have been surprised by a male faculty member wearing a kilt? smirk
