Thanks for the welcome Blast! I've been lurking around here for about a year or so. Thought it was time to come in from the shadows.

As for the chemistry thing, it's more of a backyard hobby. It's kinda like "let's see how much smoke it takes for the neighbors to call the cops after I mix these two chemicals together"

There you have boys and girls, my introduction to hot glass, fingertip bandages, and what it means to be a defendant. grin

For me it was about half a block's worth using a pie tin filled with DELETED and sugar...

I think I'm going to like you (uh, in a fellow blammmo-fan sort of way).

The best luck is that which you make yourself

Which goes hand in hand with the 6-P's

From our ever-present friend, Murphy:

Never share a foxhole with anyone braver than you are.
No battle plan ever survives contact with the enemy.
Friendly fire ain't.
The most dangerous thing in the combat zone is an officer with a map.
The problem with taking the easy way out is that the enemy has already mined it.
The buddy system is essential to your survival; it gives the enemy somebody else to shoot at.
The further you are in advance of your own positions, the more likely your artillery will shoot short.
Incoming fire has the right of way.
If your advance is going well, you are walking into an ambush.
The quartermaster has only two sizes, too large and too small.
If you really need an officer in a hurry, take a nap.
The only time suppressive fire works is when it is used on abandoned positions.
The only thing more accurate than incoming enemy fire is incoming friendly fire.
There is nothing more satisfying that having someone take a shot at you, and miss.
Don't be conspicuous. In the combat zone, it draws fire. Out of the combat zone, it draws sergeants.
If your sergeant can see you, so can the enemy.

some of those are stamped on the new gel packs of ration
heater goop..when i saw that i did'nt know if i should
laugh or cry..if i was back in a fox hole again and saw
something like "if the attack is going well it's a ambush"
on my ration heat pack my first thought would be to cram
it down the throat of whatever ripoff military contractor
did that..and the new packs are harder to light than the old
triox bars...

If you live poorly, die properly, as that is all that will be remembered in a generation's time. If you can neither live nor die with honor and dignity, then it is better to have never lived at all.
