wondering if any of you could recommend a knife like i am looking for:
here's a list of what i think would work well for me: (feel free to critique my list) 1. skeleton handled - fixed blade in 6 to 10 inch overall range 2. rust resistant 3. thick enough to use with a batan to cut tree limbs if nec.
my kit is a pelican case and packed tight already, thats why i was looking for the thinner handle, but not absolutly necessary.
Give me some ideas or links please?
Been watching this sight for a year or so now, and love it. Thanks in advance for your help.

If you don't want to spend a lot of money try this. http://budk.com/images/500/RR424.jpg. There are also many other knifes that are full tang and you can take the handles off easly. sorry I thought that would take you to the knife. but check out the Survival catagory.
