I have been lurking there for years.
These folks have been covering the AE story for >25+ Years.
It makes interesting reading.
Also makes you think that had AE been better prepared,
she would have been rescued in the 1930's.

The lack of fresh water made Gardner Isl (Nikumaroro)uninhabitable.
Funny thing that a ship had been marooned there 15 years before.

Leaving the life raft behind to save weight definately wasn't a very good idea.

Her granddaughter (same name) is a traffic reporter here in Denver. I'll have to see if she's heard of this.
